Florence: the events you can choose from, in October

Florence offers countless activities for tourists and local citizens, all year-long. October is a month rich of events and exhibitions: the best way to deeply discover the city.
For those keen of Classic Art, the Galleria dell’Accademia will host the exhibition The Luck of the Primitives, until December 8th, a real trip along the treasures of the 18th and 19th century. If you fancy modern art, visit the Museo del Novecento, the recently-open centre devoted to the Italian Art of the 20th century. The museum offers guided tours for children aged over 10: let your child travel with the Travel Machine and, for the youngest (aged 4 to 7), multi-sensorial activities are organised to allow them grasp the different nuances art can offer.
The 7th edition of the “Families at the Museum” has started, a new way to discover national and international art in a pleasant way. Sunday 5th and Sunday 12th, from 10am to 11.30am, at Palazzo Pitti, you can discover the magic world of the Life at Palace.
By entering the Archaeological Museum, with a Combo Ticket for the Egyptian Museum, the Etruscan Museum and the Ancient Collections of de’ Medici Family Museum, you can travel to distant and ancient worlds, among sculptures and ancient relics. On the Heritage Department website , you can find further information. Free entry for under 18, the first Sunday of the month it is possible to visit all state museums for free.
